Harman CrystalJet RC Photo Paper

January 2009 will see HARMAN PHOTO - the digital media brand of Harman technology Limited - launch a new addition to its range of high-quality inkjet papers : HARMAN CRYSTALJET RC

Speaking of the new product, Howard Hopwood, Harman's Chairman, said: "Harman technology was born out of the black and white side of Ilford, one of the world's best known photo-imaging companies, in 2005 and not long afterwards we launched our own inkjet range. This range makes full use of the expertise acquired producing analogue photography products for over 125 years and even uses the same fiber base and baryta layer as our premium darkroom papers such as ILFORD MULTIGRADE IV FB Fiber."

"Thanks to this approach, these inkjet papers - which now include the Harman Photo MATT FB Mp, MATT FB Mp WARMTONE, GLOSS FB AI and GLOSS FB AI WARMTONE – are arguably some of the most capable on the market, explaining why they've become highly popular with fine art photographers, professional photographers and the serious enthusiast. However, we wanted to complement this high-end media with a paper that offers similar levels of quality but at a lower price, making it perfect for test prints and for everyday use by all photographers including amateurs. The result is the Harman Crystaljet RC range."

Like the other papers offered under the Harman Photo banner, Harman Crystaljet RC is ideal for monochrome prints and offers deep blacks as well as superb levels of detail, even in shadowed areas. However, unlike the other HarmanPhoto products, it is a resin coated rather than fiber based paper. It's this feature which allows it to carry a lower price.

With a 260gsm weight, Harman Crystaljet is compatible with the latest pigmented and dye based printers and benefits from instant dry properties. It is also available in a luster or gloss finish and in sizes of Letter, Ledger (B), Super B and A2+.

To help customers get the very best results from the new paper, Harman has even created special profiles detailing optimum settings for most common brands of printer and made these available on the Harman Photo website www.harman-inkjet.com

To mark the launch of Harman Crystaljet RC, the manufacturer will be offering the new paper in special value packs of 25 sheets + 5 sheets free whilst supplies last.

Papier Photo Hahnemuhle Bamboo

A partir de fibres de bambou et d’une eau de source de grande pureté, la plus ancienne fabrique de papier allemande est parvenue à développer un papier Fine Art de qualité supérieure très doux.

L’artiste Justin Guariglia, acclamé par la critique pour son travail réalisé en Chine, a accepté d’accompagner le lancement de la campagne Bamboo. Ses images internationalement connues du Temple Shaolin en Chine illustreront le packaging vert bambou.

Justin Guariglia à propos du nouveau papier : « Lorsque l’Aperture Foundation m’a demandé d’organiser une exposition itinérante inspirée de notre livre Shaolin : Temple of Zen, je me suis adressé à Hahnemühle. Je voulais utiliser un papier qui reflète la spiritualité du projet. Mon premier choix s’est immédiatement porté sur le nouveau Bamboo 290. La merveilleuse chaleur du papier ainsi que sa structure superficielle confèrent à tout imprimé un sentiment inégalé d’intimité et d’énergie. Ces propriétés nous permettent de faire partager activement à un public mondial l’atmosphère sainte et majestueuse de ce temple Zen chinois vieux de cinq cents ans. »

L’exposition itinérante « Shaolin – Temple of Zen » – organisée par l’Aperture Foundation américaine et soutenue par Hahnemühle – pourra être vue de 2008 à 2011 aux Etats-Unis et plus tard en Europe. Les premières étapes ont lieu en février et mars 2008 à Los Angeles et de juin à septembre 2008 à Washington D.C.

American Photo Awards - Hahnemuhle FineArt Papers

American Photo magazine has chosen the Fine Art inkjet papers from the worldwide leading Hahnemuhle Digital FineArt Collection in the category “Best New Inkjet Papers” - highlighting Photo Rag® Pearl 320 and FineArt Pearl 285.

The American Photo Editor’s Choice Award is their annual guide to photography’s best new products.

This award which is the third international decoration for Hahnemuhle after the TIPA and BIPP Award in Europe in 2007.

These genuine artists’ papers are used to print exclusive Fine Art photography, digital art reproductions and original digital art works for museums, galleries, collectors and in workshops.

The Digital FineArt Collection from Hahnemuhle has expanded over the past 10 years to encompass 21 papers. All are certified genuine fine art papers manufactured exclusively at the Hahnemuhle paper mill in Germany. Following a centuries-old tradition they are produced from premium alpha cellulose or fine cotton linters and pure spring water according to highest archival standards.

The papers are manufactured either on a cylinder mould machine or on a Fourdrinier machine. While the finest natural raw materials endow various smooth and textured papers with an elegant feel. The production process and the premium inkjet coating guarantee extraordinary prints.

Gamme Ilford Inkjet Photo Paper

Avec cette nouvelle gamme de papier photo pour imprimante numérique, Ilford vise le marché grand public auquel son nom n'a pas toujours été associé.

Cette nouvelle gamme Ilford Inkjet Photo Paper dispose d'un code couleur facilitant l'identification de catégorie de papier : "Good" (Rose, 160g/m² & 200g/m²) pour un usage courant, "Better" (Argent, 250g/m²) pour l'aspect et le toucher des photos traditionnelles et "Best" (Or, 270g/m²) pour une qualité encore supérieure à celle des photos traditionnelles.
