The new Canon imageFormula DR-2010M scanner represent the first fully Mac-compatible* high-speed document scanner from Canon
The DR-2010M scanner feature a Mac-compatible Twain driver, the industry standard for linking applications and scanners. Bundled Mac-compatible software, such as Canon CaptureOnTouch enables one-touch scanning directly to e-mail, printers, shared network folders, and applications such as iPhoto for easy transfer of images to an iPhone. The driver and software bundle complements the DR-2010M scanning hardware to provide users with complete, end-to-end image capture solutions and easier integration into existing workflows.
The scanner provide fast color scanning, at speeds up to 20ppm simplex/40ipm duplex**. Image quality is maintained with advanced imaging features such as Advanced Text Enhancement, Color Dropout, and Auto Color Detection, as well as resolution up to 600 dots-per-inch (dpi), so documents can be accurately scanned to maintain their fundamental creative values.
The Canon imageFORMULA DR-2010M scanner include several features to help ensure reliable and smooth operation such as Automatic Page Size Detection and Text Orientation Recognition. In addition, it is designed with a slant paper path that allows for smooth scanning of a wide variety of documents, including thick documents, multisheet forms, driver licenses and embossed plastic cards. These features reduce user presorting and preparation time, as well as unnecessary downtime and maintenance.
The DR-2010M scanner meet the ENERGY STAR Program guidelines for energy efficiency, and also comply with RoHS and WEEE directives for reduction of hazardous substances and waste products.
