Call for Artists for 2012 group exhibitions

Gallery Korea of Korean Cultural Service NY is seeking artists for group exhibitions. The selected artists' works will be featured in one of the group exhibition-series in 2012. Deadline for submission is October 28, 2011.
This call is open to all artists, regardless of age, race, color, religion, national origin, gender or physical disability. Also artists can submit the artwork as an individual or group. However, for a group submission, the theme of the show and brief curating statement is required.
Artwork may be in any media including, but not limited to painting, sculpture, video and photography. Artwork dimension must not exceed 6 1/2 feet in order to accommodate the gallery.
The materials will be reviewed carefully by jurors including critics and curators in November, 2011 and the finalists will be announced in December, 2011 on the website of Korean Cultural Service NY, followed by exhibition schedules.
For the finalists, Gallery Korea will provide press release, printed invitations and opening reception of the group exhibition, whereas the selected artists will be responsible for any other incurring costs including handling, shipping, and installing artworks.
Your application should include: the application form (available at www.koreanculture.org), current resume, artist bio & statement, 10 Images of the works available for the shows and the list of the images submitted. Send the application by mail or drop-off in person. Gallery Korea do not accept online application.
