This is Paul Kos's fifth solo exhibition at Gallery Paule Anglim (and participation in many shows over a more than twenty-year relationship with the gallery) with works in a wide range of media including sculpture, painting, video, drawing and photography.

Two large recent works, one a kinetic wall installation (inviting viewer participation) and the other a video projection on a painting, are showed with a selection of early conceptual drawings and other new work.

Paul Kos's interests address basic relationships between the artist and the creative process. Included in this investigation are elementary dialogues between man and nature, and the individual and social constructs. Both joy and paradox are unearthed in his mining of the every day.

PAUL KOS, a founding member of the Bay Area conceptual art movement, has exhibited internationally and was recently featured in the Guggenheim Museum exhibition, The Third Mind
