The exhibition Maps of Feelings, at Long & Ryle, features a selection of works on paper by Maro Gorky (b. New York 1943), an important element of her artistic practice.
Maro Gorky's luminous landscapes, painted in watercolour, gouache, acrylic, oil, or egg tempera (a technique learned from a Greek Orthodox nun), are a response to the countryside surrounding her home, as well as travels in China, Greece, and the Sinai Desert.
