On note que la distance minimale de mise au point en près de moitié moins importante avec le 70-210 mm qu'avec le 70-220 mm (post suivant) : 0.9 m contre 2 m. En revanche, en mode macro, la distance minimale de mise au point est plus courte avec le 70-220 mm : 57 cm avec ce dernier contre 90 cm avec le 70-210 mm (la même que la distance minimal en mode classique). En se limitant ici à ces deux objectifs, il faut également tenir compte du rapport de reproduction. En photomacrographie le rapport doit être de 1 : 1. Ici, et pour l'ensemble des zoom Osawa, le mode macro est un mode de photo rapprochée. Et ce, plus ou moins. Avec le 70-210 mm, le ratio de reproduction est de 1 : 3, alors que pour le 70-220 il est de 1 : 6.

Zoom OMAP34x-II MDP Texas Instruments

Texas Instruments Inc. (TI) today unveiled an enhanced version of its OMAP™ 3 processor-based development platform — the Zoom™ OMAP34x-II Mobile Development Platform (MDP), which is designed, developed, and manufactured by Logic. The new platform gives Smartphone and Mobile Internet Device (MID) application developers who are eager to create applications for leading mobile operating systems, such as the Android Mobile Platform, Linux, LiMo, Symbian OS™ and Microsoft® Windows® Mobile, a robust handheld form factor with the wireless connectivity technologies, enhanced imaging (8 mega pixel camera sensor), video, display technology, software, as well as an optional 3G modem and optional DLP Pico™ projection technology module that enables big picture experiences in the palm of your hand. The new platform will be demonstrated this week in TI's booth at Mobile World Congress, Hall 8, 8A84.

Gentec International is pleased to announce Sigma’s new APO 200-500mm / 400-1000mm EX DG ultra telephoto lens offering a fast F2.8 aperture at the 500mm focal length and F5.6 at 1000mm.

This powerful lens covers widely used focal lengths from 200mm to 500mm and maintains the large F2.8 aperture throughout the entire zoom range, making the lens ideal for astrophotography, portraits, wildlife, and sports. The dedicated attachment doubles the focal length range and ensures autofocusing with an aperture of F5.6 all the way up to the 1000mm focal length.

A Special Low Dispersion (SLD) glass element and three Extraordinary Low Dispersion (ELD) glass elements provide excellent correction for all type of aberrations. Sigma’s super multilayer coating reduces flare and ghosting to ensure high image quality throughout the zoom range. The lens hood, designed exclusively for this lens, blocks out extraneous light. A 72mm filter can be inserted at the rear of the lens, and a circular polarizing filter can be used in situ thanks to the ingenious internal rotation mechanism. The dedicated lithium ion battery is used to power the zooming and autofocus operation; this battery is built into the lens barrel. For the convenience of the photographer, focusing distances and focal lengths can be viewed on the built-in LCD panel.

Advanced technologies for high image quality include multi-coating to reduce ghosting and flaring in backlight, and the use of a circular iris to achieve smooth, soft, background defocusing.
