Canon announces a new line-up of projectors in their ‘LV’ range. The new widescreen WXGA resolution LV-8300 and all three new XGA models, the LV-7375, the LV-7370, and the LV-7275, offer improved brightness, seamlessly mixing high cost performance with low cost price. The LV-8300 is the first WXGA projector to be added to the range, offering wide-aspect resolution (1280 x 800 pixels) and an ultra-bright 3000 lumens. With 2600 lumens, the new LV-7275 replaces the LV-7265, while the LV-7365 is replaced by the LV-7370, at 3000 lumens. For even more brightness, Canon introduces a new 3500 lumens model, the LV-7375. Two previous models, the LV-X7 and the LV-7260, have now been discontinued.

Sleek, ultra-portable design, instant startup options and exceptional easy-to-use functionality make these projectors ideal for meeting rooms, conference facilities, mobile professionals and learning environments” said Julian Rutland, European Business Development Manager at Canon Consumer Imaging Europe. “Their compact design and intuitive controls make them well suited to many corporate and educational applications.”

High resolution, high performance WXGA projections come from the smaller 0.59” panel with a widescreen aspect ratio of 16:10, while transmissive 0.63” LCD panels are used to produce XGA images with an aspect ratio of 4:3.
A powerful new 230W lamp is used across the range with the addition of micro-lenses, on the LV-7370, LV-7375 and LV-8300, to further enhance performance. The bright images yielded by these new models range between 2600 and 3500 lumens, enabling projections to be viewed clearly, even in areas with high ambient light levels. For larger spaces, the LV-7375 is most suitable, with its ultra-bright 3500 lumens output.
A contrast ratio of 500:1 allows colours to be displayed with greater vibrancy, whilst black areas remain deep and solid.
