KBA reorganises Russian sales actvities

Small-format presses now available from KBA RUS
Since 1 January 2009, Russian sales of all the small-format and half-size presses built by KBA’s Czech subsidiary KBA-Grafitec in Dobruska is handled by KBA RUS, which is thus be responsible for KBA’s entire range of sheetfed and web presses. Customers in Russia are benefit from having a single contact for all KBA products and services, and from KBA RUS’s direct collaboration with KBA’s German and Czech production plants. The contract with St Petersburg-based Ipris, the current dealer for Performa presses, has been terminated by mutual agreement.
KBA RUS has already sold a string of Rapida 74 B2 (29in) presses in the Russian Federation. Now it is aiming to match this with the slightly larger Rapida 75 for a sheet size of 530 or 605 x 750mm (20.86 or 23.8 x 29.53in). The addition of the Performa 66, an SRA (26in) press, expands its range to include small-, medium-, large- and superlarge-format sheetfed commercial and packaging presses.
Early next year a four-colour Rapida 75 will be installed at the Moscow State University for Printing Technology. It will be used not only for training and research purposes but also for print demonstrations for prospects from throughout the CIS.
